There are two options from Tullamore, you can travel through Birr or take the scenic route through Cadamstown and Kinnitty.
Scenic route.Take the R421 past golf course and through Killurin meeting the Mountmellick to Kinnitty road at T junction, turn right toward Kinnitty (still R421) drive through Cadamstown and Kinnitty toward Birr. Just outside Kinnitty take first left (still R421) toward Clareen, continue through Clareen passing St Kieran’s “raggy bush” on your right. Take next right, approx 2km farther on,(L4007) signed Birr and also Tom Shaw farm machinery. My house is just 100 metres from this T junction, a two storey with a cream coloured old cast-iron gate.
